Brasilia technology company was one of 14 awarded in the 6th edition of the award.
Aker Security Solutions, first Brazilian company products and services for data protection to join the Magic Quadrant Gartner UTM Firewall, has just received the IT prize of the Union of the Federal District Information Industry (SINFOR), celebrating its 6th edition, in the category "Outstanding Software", the UTM Firewall solution.
The SINFOR brings together the various components of the IT supply chain, integrating entrepreneurs, employees, customers and user community of the industry in and out of Brasilia DF.
The 2014 award 14 selected highlights in the segment, between entities, clients, personalities, small, medium and large companies. Aker, a pioneer in Brazil in protection technologies against cyber crime and the electronic eavesdropping, was one of five winners of Medium and Large Business Division.
Aker is a reference in the development of data protection technology, designed solely with national technology. This is an especially important advantage when considering the high state interests and international groups that may be involved in this type of technology.
Recently the Brazilian government granted the Aker CERTICS certification, attesting to its technology as a strategic and proven Brazilian origin.
Earlier this month of November, the company announced the launch of a new, updated version of its advanced solution against digital espionage and cyber threats, Aker IPS. The solution was developed with support from FINEP (Financier of Studies and Projects).
According to Rodrigo Fragola, President of Aker, the SINFOR the award is an important recognition of all employee efforts to develop national technologies to meet critical data protection needs.
The award ceremony took place on November 25, 2014, to 19 hours, in SEBRAE Headquarters NATIONAL, located at SGAS 605, set "A" L2 South.
